Yesterday I walked the house, the memories reverberating.

There was a slight shifting of the dominoes this week. After several weeks of mostly Mike’s hard work, ED’s house was ready to put on the market. Within days, she hosted a  ‘goodbye to the house’ party shortly after receiving an offer. The beauty of technology: within minutes we all signed the papers via our phones for the super agent Andrea Garcia to present a counteroffer. Today, the offer was accepted.


The annoying delay for inspection, mortgage approval, title clearance, and consequential demands must be tolerated. But we are all exhaling a sorrowful sigh of relief. Sorrowful because we all love the house. Relief because it is no longer useful to us and has become a burden.


Meanwhile, keep praying for ED to land a job. The state of the nation/economy/global affairs has all of us a little nervous. For now, though, we are very thankful to have moved one domino into place. Thirteen to go!
